Laura J Harris is a writer, director and creative producer developing original IP across television, film, fiction and live performance. Her work is drawn to bold, character-led stories that explore power, identity, resilience and the voices history too often leaves behind.

For over a decade, she has led The Boaty Theatre Company as Artistic Director, creating ambitious performance opportunities for young people from Ellesmere Port and the Northwest, guiding work onto major stages including The Sheffield Crucible, The Lowry and the National Theatre.

Alongside her theatre work, Laura develops new writing, reimagines classical material, and delivers creative programmes for writers, actors and emerging artists across the UK. Her practice is rooted in the belief that storytelling can challenge, connect and transform.

Living with a number of long-term health conditions has deepened Laura’s understanding of endurance, vulnerability and creative fire. These lived experiences continue to shape her voice and fuel work that is emotionally honest, courageous and alive.
